Welcombe to TS Jaguar's Band

One of our major goals is to educate our cadets in music. We do this so that it is fun. Every cadet is considered to partake even if they have no previous experience in any instrument. Each cadet will progress through various proficiency exams hopefully, when reaching the age of 16, will culminate in a BTEC in music. Equivalent to 4 GCSEs grades A-C.
Traditionally there are some core instruments associated with the armed forces. These amongst others consist of drums and bugles. We can however accommodate almost any instrument provided it can be carried safely as Marching is an essential part of our activities. It imparts great need of coordination both in foot work as well as the ability to play in time with other members.

TS Jaguar is particularly proud to be called upon by the local Council and British Legion to provide the support for all the commemorative parades associated with our war efforts. Remembrance Day celebrations being our most prestigious. Our fame does not stop locally. We have played to members of the Royal family, most recently the Princess Royal in her round Briton Tree planting. We are often invited to play for corporate days.
Summer 2005 we were very active in the International Festival of the Sea and International Fleet Review. Several cadets being included in the Bi-centennial celebrations of the Battle of Trafalgar and death of Admiral Lord Nelson celebrations in London.
The band travels a lot all year round. More so in the summer months when we are training for the district/area and national competitions.

Every Cadet can feel proud of our public events. Next
